Outreach Intervention
External services to take things further
The ‘programme IMO’ (Outreach intervention program) encompasses the outreach support services offered by Mères avec pouvoir. It is designed for women who wish to receive support from a caseworker without requiring housing. It comprises two complementary components designed to support families at key stages of their journey:
- The’IMO pré program (Pre-Outreach Intervention) operates prior to the new residents moving in. It aims to prepare future participants for their arrival at Mères avec pouvoir, answer their questions, facilitate their integration, and establish an initial connection with the intervention team.
- The’IMO post program (Post-Outreach Intervention) is designed for families completing their time with Mères avec pouvoir. Offered for one year following their departure, this support aims to facilitate a smooth transition to a new stage of life, ensure continuity of services, and maintain a safety net tailored to their needs.
The support workers meet with participants at their homes, at the organization’s offices, or virtually. They support them in the various spheres of their lives—as women, mothers, workers or students, and as citizens—based on their needs and goals.
Program participants are also invited to take part in the activities, workshops, and events offered by Mères avec pouvoir..
The impact of the IMO program
“Margarita offered a listening ear, advice, ideas, and reminders to do this or that—but above all, she knew how to ask the right questions. The kind that helped me remember who I was and where I was going. The kind that helped me silence that little voice telling me I wasn't capable.
Little by little, I regained my self-confidence. I reminded myself of everything I had already accomplished and started believing in my abilities again. With Margarita’s support and sustained by my faith, I found my light again.”
— Liliane, IMO program participant
